5. Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (p) was asked to comment on the verse:
Surely, we gave the progeny of Ibrahim, the Book, and the Wisdom,
and We gave them a mighty kingdom. (Q, 4:54)
The Imam (p): God has appointed the Apostles, the Prophets and the
Imams from the progeny of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) (p). Is it not
strange that people accept the honour bestowed upon the progeny
of Prophet Ibrahim (p), but deny the same for the progeny of Prophet
Muhammad (p)? ...
