| 665. 1. Imam
Jafar as-Sadiq (p): The most prominent feature of the obedience
to God is patience i.e. to remain content with the will of God whether
a person likes it or not. A real believer does not crave for anything
from God except what God considers good for him whether he likes
it or not.(B5,C31,T1)
|
666. 2. Imam
Jafar as-Sadiq (p): One, who is content with the will of
God from the depth of his heart, is the wisest person as regards
his faith in God.(B5,C31,T2)
|
667. 3. Imam
Zainul Abideen (p): The best form of obedience to God is
to remain patient. One who remains patient with the will of God,
whether he likes it or not, God destines what is best for him.(B5,C31,T3)
|
668. 5. Imam
Musa al-Kazim (p): One, who has received wisdom from God,
knows that God is never reluctant in bestowing His bounties and
never blames God for whatever God has ordained for him.(B5,C31,T5)
|
669. 6. Imam
Jafar as-Sadiq (p) quoted a divine tradition (Hadees-e-Qudsi)
where in God says: I engage my believer in something which is best
for him. Therefore, the believer must remain content with My will,
remain patient in moments of trials and thank Me for the bounties
bestowed by Me on him. O Muhammad! I shall count this believer among
the truthful ones.
Translator’s note: The messages of God conveyed to the
Prophet Muhammad (p) by the arch-angel Gabriel (Jibrael) (p) through
revelation were of two kinds. One was to be conveyed to the Mankind
by Prophet Muhammad (p) and remains as a part of the Quran as
verses (Ayat). The other revelation which was also to be conveyed
to Mankind but not as a part of the Quran is referred to as Hadees-e-Qudsi
which means Divine Tradition.(B5,C31,T6)
|
670. 9. Imam
Muhammad al-Baqir (p): It is good for people to surrender
to the will of God. One who realises the greatness of God and remains
patient with His will, God will enhance His bounties on him. And
the one, who is not happy with the will of God, will be deprived
of his reward(B5,C31,T9)
|
671. 12. Imam
Jafar as-Sadiq (p) was asked: How a believer may be identified
as a true believer?
The Imam (p): By accepting the will of God and remaining content
with whatever befalls him whether he likes it or not.(B5,C31,T12)
|
672. 13. Imam
Jafar as-Sadiq (p): Whenever anything happened, Prophet
Muhammad (p) never used to say that it should have been otherwise.(B5,C31,T13) |
